"Tamkeen" Supports Strategic Investment by "Mubadala Health Bahrain", Strengthening the Healthcare Sector and Creating Over 200 Jobs
The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Mubadala Health Bahrain, a joint venture between M42, a global health leader powered by artificial intelligence (AI), technology and genomics, and its Bahraini partner, HealthVision. The agreement aims to support investment in Bahrain’s healthcare sector and enhance the quality of specialized healthcare services through the establishment of a new multidisciplinary healthcare facility in the Kingdom.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of Gateway Gulf 2026, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain for its fourth edition in November 2026. This partnership forms part of ongoing efforts to attract high-value investments and strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for healthcare and advanced medical services.
Mubadala Health Bahrain is expected to employ over 200 people, including specialized roles for medical consultants, specialist physicians, healthcare professionals, and medical support staff, as well as administrative and operational positions. These opportunities will contribute to increasing the participation of Bahraini talent in the specialized healthcare sector and supporting the creation of sustainable employment opportunities with a positive economic impact.
The project will also contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare services in the Kingdom and supporting Bahrain’s efforts to consolidate its position as a regional hub for healthcare and advanced medical services. Furthermore, it will facilitate the attraction of international expertise, knowledge transfer, and the development of Bahraini talent in advanced healthcare specializations.
As part of the project, Mubadala Health Bahrain will establish a multispecialty hospital in Bahrain Bay, offering 20 medical specialties and providing advanced healthcare services tailored to the needs of citizens and residents in the Kingdom. The hospital will also provide AI-powered genetic testing services, alongside advanced solutions in precision medicine and genomics. These services will support the adoption of cutting-edge healthcare innovations while enabling more predictive, preventive and personalized care.
On this occasion, Her Excellency Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen”, emphasized that the partnership represents a significant addition to Bahrain’s healthcare sector, not only through the advanced medical services it will provide, but also through its role in creating quality employment opportunities for Bahrainis, attracting international expertise, and facilitating knowledge transfer to national talent.
