Dr. Ali Anees is Chief Operating Officer, UAE and Bahrain at M42, where he oversees the operations of M42’s healthcare assets across both markets. With more than 25 years of experience spanning clinical practice, healthcare management, insurance, and policy development, Dr. Ali is a seasoned leader known for advancing patient-centric innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory alignment across complex healthcare ecosystems.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ali has held pivotal roles in shaping healthcare delivery in the region. Prior to joining M42, he spent more than 13 years at the National Health Insurance Company – Daman, where he led multiple core functions and business units. He also served as a consultant to McKinsey & Company, advising the Supreme Council of Health in Qatar on the design and implementation of the country’s National Health Insurance Program.
Dr. Ali holds a medical degree from the University of Baghdad, with a specialization in Rheumatology and Medical Rehabilitation, and an MBA from Chifley Business School in Australia. His ability to bridge clinical insight with strategic and operational acumen has enabled him to lead transformative initiatives across public and private healthcare sectors.
In addition to his executive role, Dr. Ali is a Board Member of Mubadala Health Bahrain, contributing to the platform’s strategic integration and growth across the region. His leadership is instrumental in advancing M42’s mission to deliver world-class care and redefine the future of health.
