Dr. Mohamed AlSaati is the acting Chief Executive Officer at M42 Bahrain, bringing over a decade of experience in strategy and operations, public health, healthcare investments and health system design to his role. A UK-educated medical doctor, Dr. AlSaati's expertise encompasses developing and delivering market entry strategies, optimizing the performance of healthcare providers, designing, and implementing large-scale public health programs, and driving national health system transformations.
Prior to his current role at M42 Bahrain, Dr. AlSaati served as senior director of international operations and special projects at Mubadala Health. In this position, he spearheaded key initiatives and oversaw critical operations that significantly enhanced the organization’s footprint and operational efficiency.
Before joining Mubadala Health, Dr. AlSaati was a strategy and management consultant at McKinsey & Company. During his tenure at McKinsey, he successfully delivered projects across the healthcare value chain in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. His clients included public, private, and non-governmental entities for whom he implemented innovative solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
Dr. AlSaati also has a robust clinical background, having worked as a hospital-based medical doctor at a University Hospital in London. His medical experience spans general medicine, general surgery, and pediatrics/neonatology. Additionally, he served as a healthcare analyst for the World Health Organization in Geneva, focusing on developing local capabilities in low- and middle-income countries to tackle chronic diseases.
Dr. AlSaati holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from St. George’s, University of London and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Business Administration and Management from the University of Cambridge. His unique blend of clinical, strategic and operational expertise positions him as a leader in driving innovative health solutions and transforming healthcare systems on a global scale.
