Kareem Shahin is the Chief Executive Officer of M42’s Digital Health Solutions platform, leading the company’s efforts to scale AI-driven innovations and digital health technologies to improve patient outcomes and expand healthcare access worldwide. With over 20 years of experience in the UAE and the wider region, Kareem brings a wealth of strategic and operational expertise to his role.
As part of his leadership of Digital Health Solutions, Kareem is the Chief Executive Officer at Abu Dhabi Health Data Services, where he is playing a pivotal role in advancing the digital transformation of healthcare through projects like Malaffi, the UAE’s first Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform.
Prior to this, Kareem served as the Chief Business Officer at G42 Healthcare, where he developed business strategies that propelled the company's growth and expansion, driving its mission to transform everyday healthcare. His deep industry knowledge enabled him to build key partnerships with regional governments and stakeholders, significantly enhancing G42 Healthcare’s visibility and growth trajectory.
Earlier in his career, Kareem held senior roles with leading multinational healthcare organizations, including serving as a Senior Partner for Digital Health Transformation at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Middle East. He also contributed significantly as a Senior Executive Partner in Healthcare during his 13-year tenure at IBM, where he focused on healthcare technology and innovation.
Kareem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and an MBA from Strathclyde Business School, reflecting his strong blend of technical acumen and business leadership.
