Michael is the Executive Director of Growth & Value Creation within Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform.
With over 18 years of experience, Michael began his career in investment banking where he held various roles at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch International in Brussels, London and Dubai. Before joining Mubadala, he was head of investment banking for the Middle & North Africa at UBS Investment Bank and a member of the regional group executive committee.
He has close to 15 years of experience in the Middle East and has led and advised on over $100bn worth of M&A and capital markets transactions around the world, whilst keeping his ESG knowledge and impact-driven mindset central to his modus operandi. He was a founding Chairman of UBS Community Affairs where he developed the partnership with the Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre, an educational center for children with special needs.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
