Amana Healthcare Bahrain had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Alameri, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to its facility in Al Jasra. His Excellency, the Ambassador, was received by Dr. Mohamed Ameen AlSaati, Chief Executive Officer of M42 Bahrain, alongside senior officials from M42 Bahrain and Amana Healthcare Bahrain.
Discussions highlighted the depth of the longstanding, historic relations between Bahrain and the UAE, which continue to flourish under the leadership and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The meeting also underscored the importance of continued collaboration between the two GCC nations across vital sectors, namely healthcare, innovation, and human development.
Dr. AlSaati further noted that the presence and continued expansion of M42, the Abu Dhabi-based global health leader, in the Kingdom of Bahrain stands as a strong testament to the spirit of collaboration between Bahrain and the UAE. He further emphasized how the partnership is pivotal to advancing innovation, exchanging expertise, and creating meaningful opportunities that enhance healthcare outcomes and quality of life for communities across the region.
During the visit, His Excellency, the Ambassador, also toured the state-of-the-art Amana Healthcare Bahrain facility, where he was briefed on the hospital’s specialized services, advanced rehabilitation capabilities, and person-centered model of care. The tour included the hospital’s rehabilitation and therapy facilities, including its hydrotherapy pool, specialized gyms, and a care environment designed to support recovery, healing, and long-term wellbeing.
Amana Healthcare Bahrain stands as a distinguished example of the exchange of knowledge and specialized healthcare expertise between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Through its establishment, M42 has, for the first time, expanded its proven long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation model beyond its UAE borders. Developed in conjunction with a strategic partnership with Mumtalakat (Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company), Amana Healthcare Bahrain has become the first-of-its-kind facility in the Kingdom.
Since its inauguration, Amana Healthcare Bahrain has become an integral partner to Bahrain’s healthcare ecosystem, providing world-class, person-centered care in a compassionate and home-like environment. The Al Jasra facility spans more than 15,000 square meters, features over 100 beds, and is supported by a multidisciplinary team of over 150 healthcare professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life.
The visit further reaffirmed a shared commitment between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates to advancing healthcare excellence, strengthening regional collaboration, and driving sustainable economic growth through strategic partnerships that place people, community, and quality of life at the center of development.
