Mazar Masud is Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs at M42, where he is responsible for protecting and advancing the organization’s reputation, leading local and global media relations, executive positioning, stakeholder engagement, and public credibility, with a particular focus on B2B and B2G audiences. Prior to this appointment, Mazar served as Senior Director, Global Corporate Communications at M42. He joined from Edelman where he was Managing Director UAE, developing and growing the firm's UAE business, advising clients across the Emirates and establishing market leadership for strategic communications and high-impact integrated campaigns.
Before Edelman, Mazar was Middle East Director at Kekst CNC – part of Publicis Groupe - where he spearheaded growth initiatives, grew the UAE business and worked in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia on corporate and marketing campaigns and capital market transactions.
Mazar began his communications career in the U.K. advising organizations on their critical communications challenges, becoming a trusted advisor to the C-suite of FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies. Before moving to the Middle East, Mazar held director positions at Powerscourt, Camargue and Brunswick.
He has been recognised year on year as one of the most powerful communicators in the region by PR Week’s Middle East Power Book.
Mazar graduated with a First in English Literature from the University of Cambridge and trained as an auditor at PwC. He is an Executive Board Member at MEPRA and previously was a co-chair of Edelman’s Uplift, Trustee of the Taylor Bennett Foundation and Chair of the Oxbridge Muslim Alumni.
