Dr. Mai Al Jaber is the Chief Executive Officer of Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC). In this capacity, she works to optimize operations and enhance patient access and experience across all ICLDC branches. She also leads efforts to expand ICLDC’s footprint within the UAE and the region.
Dr. Mai has practiced General Medicine in Abu Dhabi for over 17 years. In 2005, she began her career in healthcare as a General Practitioner at Zayed Military Hospital (ZMH).
Her passion for public health helped her obtain a Master of Public Health and Leadership from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in the United States in 2012.
Dr. Mai joined Healthpoint in 2013 as a specialist in public health medicine. She worked in the Department of Family Medicine, where she implemented programs for preventative screening. In 2016, she was appointed Medical Director of Healthpoint, where she was responsible for overseeing critical parts of clinical leadership and operations to ensure the successful execution of Healthpoint's vision and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Dr. Mai continues to be a community leader by serving on multiple health and sports committees. She is currently the President of National Antidoping Agency of the United Arab Emirates. She also won the Arab Women Award in the medical category in 2021 and was named Woman of the Year by the Emirates Woman Award in 2018.
